Drake had an afternoon off, and was up for taking a drive to Salerno. It is about 40 minutes south of Avellino. Bloody Salerno is what it was called during World War II. It was where the Allies entered Italy. We didn't really know what we were looking for, or where to go once we got there. Drake ended up buying a map and talking to an old man who gave us some advice. Salerno has a nice waterfront, a duomo (I think every city in Italy has a Duomo, which is a big cathedral, for those of you who are confused), and a nice street to shop on. The old part of town has tiny little cobblestone streets.

so smug

Courtyard outside of the Duomo. Can you see me behind one of those pillars?

We walked past this shop full of homemade soaps. The smell was so strong, I had to go in to explore. The store owner talked to us for a while, we felt obligated to buy some. Drake actually bought some fruity stuff to use at the gym.
