Barcelona!!!!!!!!!

This past weekend, Dinamo had a bye week, so that meant we had about 3 days off. Let me tell you we took advantage of every minute of our vacation. Ro and I were waiting for the boys right after practice on Friday morning to leave for our flight for Espana, and we dropped them back off after landing for Monday night practice. We had a great weekend away, made some great memories, but I have to admit, I feel like I wasn't able to keep up like I use to. The little guy is weighing me down and especially weighing down my bladder:( I swear I have never looked for so many toilets in my life.

I have heard so much about Barcelona from Ro because it has a special place in her heart. She both studied and honeymooned there, so I was excited to have her show us around. I think the thing we were most excited about was some american food from Hard Rock, we said we would be happy to eat there every day of our trip but unfortunately our first stop was a major disappointment, and we said we weren't going back.
So disappointing
We spent the rest of Friday night exploring and walking Las Ramblas,
Getting donuts from Dunkin,
Shopping at Zara:),
Watching street dancers,
shopping for aprons,
and catching up with Drake's old bud and teammate Jud (we probably should have had him in this picture instead of asking him to take it). He plays in Barcelona now.
The next day Drake and I wanted to do some more exploring. Holy preggers right?!

We enjoyed some Irish breakfast, Drake's favorite. I look like I am ready for a nap, actually Drake does too.
Barcelona's port

That night I personally felt like we needed to experience some authentic Spanish food. We made sure to try some tapas, and I wanted paella. The boys however wanted KFC. Yes.... Kentucky Fried Chicken. They wasted not one, but two of their meals on a family pack meal from KFC. Ro and I had a date over some good paella.
BFF's
Of course we needed to get in some spades. We found some good Irish pubs that played american football and competed Saturday night for 5 hours, I was emotionally exhausted, but we battled and Ro and I went home to Sassari feeling pretty good:)
Next day was unfortunately a very rainy one. After debating what our day should be like we decided to head down to the water and check out some restaurants Jud had recommended. We got to relax on some day beds while enjoying some sushi.
Drake found a nice playground and he raced some kids up to the top. He looks kind of intimidating in this picture. It wasn't much of a competition.
But clearly he felt real good about beating them.
Our last night was some of the same. KFC for the boys, Falafels for the girls, and some various pubs to watch football (although we couldn't find the Bears for Trav and Ro) and compete in some games.
The weekend went real fast and I was sad to head back already. We are back to our normal grind here in Sassari. I am now almost 34 weeks and dreaming about our baby every night. Clearly he is on my mind:) Big game this Saturday against Rome, and next week is Thanksgiving already I can't believe it!
