Road Trip

I always dread road trips. Hate it, sometime I even cry when he leaves! I know that is sad, but life is just better when he is around. I had a feeling that being in 2 leagues Drake would be traveling longer than what I was used to, and yessir he will be. Drake has been gone for a little over 2 days now, I have 3 more to go. They won there last Italian League game against Cantu, just to keep you up to date. They are now 2-1. On Thursday they play Maccabi, a Euroleague team in Tel Aviv, Israel.

So you are probably wondering what I have been doing to fill my time. I have been pleasantly surprised at how I have been kept busy, mostly with the girls. They are a lot of fun, and we have been having a great time together. The first day the guys were gone we went to Nola Mall, (a mall relatively close to what you would find in America) I'm mad I didn't take a picture, next time for sure. It is a mall built under a hill, if you can imagine. Spent the afternoon their, checking it out. The next day we went to the center of Avellino, walked around did some shopping. I go to the gym everyday, and we normally eat together here at the hotel. Avellino doesn't offer much, especially when the weather is not cooperating. It was raining all day today. They say winter is on the way :( So that is my past two days in a nutshell. Yes we are still in the hotel, hopefully in the next few days we will have our own place, and of course I will have pictures to share. Here are some random pictures to keep you interested.

When I first got here, a little over a month ago, the plan was for me to wait at the airport where the team would be arriving an hour or so later, (this was down in Sicily). Kind of hard to explain but I situated myself and luggage on the second floor were you could overlook people arriving and getting their bags off the carousel. Anyways, I was distracted and when I looked back down I saw that the team had arrived. I was searching trying to find Drake looking at each guy. Most had their backs to me. I could see that one of them who had their backs to me had their hair cut in a mohawk... when he turned around I gasped. Drake had one of his teammates cut his hair in a mohawk! It has grown out since, but you can still get a glimpse of it in this picture. Grandma would not have liked it.

Just a cool picture from their first game against Treviso. Actually this is a better shot of the mohawk.

Unfortunately I know exactly who was responsible for the mohawk! Sorry Gini...at least it was done after the wedding!;)
