The time finally came for my parents visit. We had been hoping that they would have the chance to come over this year, see what our life is like overseas first hand. I was doubtful it would happen, but so excited that they were able to come. They stayed with us for 10 days, and I kept them very busy. That is why I have to break there visit into 3 parts. We were able to see so much with them.
The first full day they were here was game day. While Drake was sleeping I took them to Paestum. You are proabably going to think you are having De Ja Vu reading these posts, you'll see a lot of the same scenery, just different people in the foreground.
Growing up my mom drove us all nuts when we would go on family vacations. Everywhere we went she was trying to get us hooked into tours. Some things never change, she was the exact same this vacation, but I am happy to say I think I have matured enough to appreciate that. Here she is, double- glasses, trying to figure out how to work her hand held tour guide.
That night Avellino beat GMAC Bologna 73-68. Here are some shots from the game. Drake was key in the end of the game, great game. Here he is being introduced, you can only see his head.
On Drake's day off, we all went to Pompeii. Notice mom listening to her hand held tour guide once again.
Last time I blogged about Pompeii I mentioned this large stones they had in the middle of the road. They were used so people could cross the street without having to walk in the mud and water when it rained.
