Update and some old pictures

Things have been moving along quite well here in Sassari. Dinamo is currently 2-1, we have Milan at home this weekend, which will be a tough game to win, but I always have faith we will. I feel like I know the city pretty well now, and our apartment is set for the season.

Our baby has been moving and growing like crazy. I am now 30 weeks. Drake got home from a road trip on Monday to feel a very very active little guy. I have been growing lots, and feeling a bit more uncomfortable:) Sleep has officially become annoying, especially when I look over and see Drake in a nice peaceful slumber. It has been a bit different to experience pregnancy over here in Italy. I have come to realize that they are a bit more conservative when it comes to exercise. I joined a gym last week, and tried to attend a step class. I was getting lots of looks before the class started (which is pretty typical in Italy), but I figured it was because I was an american new girl. The teacher came over to me and told me that it was "impossible" for me to participate. So feeling rejected I figured I would just hop on a treadmill. After walking a while I started a slow jog (which I have been doing my whole pregnancy), next thing I know a woman is standing next to my machine, wagging her finger, telling me that I shouldn't be running, only walking. So I just figured I would stop running and continue walking. I appreciate the concern, but come on! Let me do my thing:)

Some of the pictures are a little old, but I just uploaded them. Here the guys are about to leave for a road trip. I think they are so cute in their matching outfits.
This was in preseason, the team had a weekend tournament in Cagliari (a couple hours away) and me and my best girls went to check it out. We had such an awesome room. Cagliari was a great city.
After the tournament, our team president hooked the guys up at a local golf course. Drake has a bandage above his nose because he got an elbow to his forehead and needed stitches the night before.
Had to capture this moment. A swarm of girls waiting for Drake after the game. I could hear them saying "Te amo Drake"
The start of a new season! Here we are prior to our first game... which we won:)

Starting back up!

This blog has been on my to-do list for a long time. As much as I feel like I don't have my writing juices flowing, I know I will be mad at myself if I don't document this year, it is going to be a memorable one... Ro and I have already declared this will be the best year yet. So here we go:)

I have been in Sassari officially 3 weeks now, and starting to feel pretty comfortable in our new home. I am liking the new apartment, new team and organization, and new neighbors. Can't tell you how nice it is to have a buddy at my disposal any time I want her. We live right in the center of the city, so I am doing lots of walking checking out our new city.

Dinamo had there season opener last night, it was a great way to start the season. Kind of strange to be pretty comfortable during the last few minutes of a game. I am so used to being sick to my stomach until the final buzzer, but yesterday we won by 20. Trav was on FIRE!!!! The boys are on the road the next two weekends.

As far as our baby boy is doing, he is kicking lots, growing quickly (2 1/2 pounds already), and hiccuping every day. I am loving it. I am in the middle of my 28th week. We had our first appointment with Dr. Gianni last week, he will be delivering. He seems like a very capable Dr. We got to see the little guy in an ultrasound, but he was face down, so we didn't get a good profile shot, bummer. I have started reading about child birth in all of my books. I just watched a live birth video online... wish I hadn't. Dr. Gianni said he would try to get an epidural available, but its not as common here. I know I sound like a baby but well, I kind of am. I will just feel better knowing I have that option. I am feeling really good though, and we are getting more and more excited for his arrival everyday.

I need to be better about taking pictures but I do have some to share. A special thanks to my #1 blog fan for pushing me to start back up:) Here you go:
We had a beach barbeque with the team last week

I realized last week I don't have one belly shot! Here I am at 28 weeks.
