Craziness in Sassari

There has been lots of excitement in Sassari. Before playoffs started we had 11 days to wait. During that time we got some good beach time in. Lou has just been growing and growing. Here he on his make shift play area.
 Cool dude

Not the easiest going to the beach with a babe, but we make it work.

This is the street we live on.
 How cute are they?

Lou was so sweet to give me a flower for my 1st mother's day
Love this photo, can you see Dick, Bob, Lou and I in the background?
Yes when playoffs started Bob and Dick came over for a quick visit! Man alive they got to see some unbelievable games. Dinamo swept the 1st series, so exciting!
All ready for game two, he reminds me of Everett in this picture.

Best picture of all time! The second game was the most unbelievable game I have ever seen, it was a battle the entire game. We ended up going to overtime, where Drake hit a game winner at the buzzer. The place went wild, I will attach the video in the next post. Dick and Bob are loved by the locals here, seriously signing autographs and getting interviewed, a photographer got this shot of them as they were making there way out of the gym. LOVE IT!!!
The 3rd game of the series at Bologna, was won at the buzzer as well. Vanuzzo hit a 3 at the buzzer, what is going on here????? Very exciting. So I was so happy they won because that meant they got to come back to Sassari right away instead of staying in Bologna for game 4. So we are waiting once again for the next series to start where we will be playing Siena.... It is gonna be tough. The guys leave this Sunday for 5 days, not sure yet if Lou and I will be making the trip. So now you are all caught up. Feels good doesn't it?

Dick and Sara Visit

It is catch up time!  Not sure who is still reading my posts, but I plan on turning this thing into a book at the end of the season, so I need the final chapters:) When I uploaded these pictures they came in the opposite order so this is from most recent to older photos.  After the last final game of the season the boys had a couple days off, so Lou and I drove to the airport to meet them in Olbia, where we than headed to Porto Cervo. I have been wanting to go to Porto Cervo all season, big celebrity vacation hot spot... We didn't see any:( But the boys got in a round of golf, we explored the center where they had some great shopping (think I bought anything?), and Lou and Drake took a dip in the pool (it was way too cold for me). Here are some pics

Beautiful scenery, isn't he getting so big???? Lou I mean
The cold water took Lou's breath away

Dick and Sara got to make a trip over to see some home games and get to know Lou of course, they really made out well with the scheduling, they got to see 3 home games and we won all of them! While the team was away in Siena Lou and I took them to Castelsardo for the afternoon.

Sara really is such a great photographer. She got so many good shots of Lou. What a face he has:)
On a beautiful morning off we headed to Porto Torres where we put Lou's feet in the ocean for the first time. He had absolutely no reaction, I was expecting more. We had a great bacci ball session here though and stopped for gelato:)
Grilling out on our tiny grill
Eating pre-game meal

On a day off we explored the town of Ozieri.

So happy with Elmo, thanks Molly:)
Dick and Sara also got to see Drake score his 2,000th point in Serie A. So proud of him! Lou doesn't seem that impressed however.
Enjoying a meal with the team after a W.
Seriously Sara you take the best pictures:)

A little putting competition
So now we are ready for playoffs. The team finished in the 4th spot. What a successful season they have had.

Derek and Girls

The visit from Sweden was a fun-filled week. Having three kids under the age of 3 in our apartment kept us singing, playing, and munchkining non-stop. It was so fun seeing the kids (wow do I sound like a parent) getting to know each other. We haven't seen Derek and Elisa in over a year, so we finally got to meet Linnea and see how Noelle has grown. The weather was not the best, but I have to say Derek and Elisa took advantage of every day. Noelle and Linnea are just the sweetest, sad to see the week go so fast, I knew it would, but we will get to spend some great time together this summer. Here are some pictures from their trip.
Getting to know each other on Easter morning
Derek and Drake set up a little egg hunt for Noelle
A caravan of strollers
How sweet is she?
Noelle was so helpful with Lou

On Drake's day off we went to one of our trainer's house for a barbeque

A little skype date with grandma and grandpa

Lou is not so good at keeping his binky in his mouth, so big cousin would sit and hold it for him

Happy birthday Derek!

Dick and Sara arrived Friday morning, so we almost had the entire family here for a night

We were missing Drew, Kel, and Everett.  Great trip thanks for coming to see us. Update on Dinamo basket: we are currently tied for 3rd with 5 games left in the season. Playoffs are looking pretty good at this point, so that means we will be here a little longer which is good and bad. Playoffs are exciting and there really is no better place to be when the weather is so good, but I am feeling so anxious to bring Lou home. I need to remind myself to not wish time away though and enjoy every minute while we are here. So lets go Dinamo!!!!
